Now that you have feasted on the main course, how about some dessert?

The goal of Elvis: Behind the Image THE SERIES, is to share bite-sized vignettes of unique, little-known, Elvis adventures that focus on true life
accounts in the life and career of the man BEHIND the legend.

This video series is - by design - comprehensive yet more concise than typical documentary productions;  It is adapted in this venue for today’s fast-
paced, time-restricted world, but also geared towards Elvis fans who share our passion for the factual history of intriguing events that have yet to be
fully explored in fine detail.

For this reason, many fascinating components of certain episodes lead down a separate rabbit hole that cannot be fully explored without breaking the
stride of the intended focus of the episode.

Sometimes those rabbit holes lead to fascinating stories in and of themselves, and may warrant a separate future episode… but many are merely fun,
short tidbits that inquiring minds like ours want to know.   They are all short, supporting sidebar material - intended as a bonus addendum to the full
story showcased on the official ELVIS: BEHIND THE IMAGE YouTube channel and provided for the more serious or curious fan - for your viewing
pleasure.  Consider them FREE, Elvis flavored after-dinner mints ...with our compliments!

ELVIS 42 YEARS BEFORE AND AFTER - NEW 2 CD SET
First announced back in 2019, this new import double CD offering 'ELVIS PRESLEY 42 YEARS BEFORE AND AFTER' is a silver factory pressed
release that takes the listener on a music journey from the Kings musical releases with Disc 1 - 42 Years Before, kicking off with Elvis' debut record
'Thats All Right' on the SUN label and ending up with 'My Way' performed live in June 1977 and featured on the CBS TV Special - 'Elvis In Concert'.

Not even death kept Elvis from entertaining his fans and the musical journey continues on Disc 2 - 42 Years After, which launches into 1980 with the
remake of 'Guitar Man' from the Young 'un Sound recording sessions produced by Felton Jarvis. This 2nd disc takes the listener through new songs
like 'The Twelfth of Never', remakes including the hugely successful recordings with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, remixes like the global smash
hit 'A Little Less Conversation', live recordings from 'Elvis The Concert' the sell out arena world tours and finally duets with million selling artists and of
course the duets with the Kings Princess. Lisa Marie Presley.

Personally, I really like the concept of this album and I even think it would have been good if SONY Music took advantage of the milestone, but they
didn't and so the 'EAP-42' label have. The 50 tracks gives the listener a great retrospective of the Elvis output, as with most releases there are
choices of songs that you would choose differently, mine would be the inclusion of Christmas songs, 4 in total with 3 being on the 2nd disc.

The front cover is, well.....I LOVE IT! It's obviously a copy of St, Pepper, just with a plethora of Elvis' (+ some Priscilla and Lisa Marie) and even little
Elvis with Mama and Papa. It really is the perfect cover for this album and if you click on the cover (above) you can enlarge it in a new page to have a
good look at the work.

Below is the full track listing and Just for a little fun, I've included in red the songs I would have replaced the Christmas tracks with.

BIG BUDGET ELVIS BIO MOVIE LOOKING TO RETURN
As we are well aware, just before the pandemic saw a worldwide lockdown, Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis Presley movie was set to start shooting in Australia.
But during rehearsals of a Las Vegas scene, Colonel Tom Parker star Tom Hanks and his wife were diagnosed with coronavirus seeing production
shutdown indefinitely. The Oscar-winner was one of the first Hollywood stars to catch the sickness and went into self-isolation before flying back home
to Los Angeles.

Now three months on and Hanks has given an update on the Elvis biopic and when filming is currently set to resume.

Speaking with The Sydney Morning Herald to promote his new movie Greyhound, the 63-year-old said: “We are part of an entire industry and art form
and business of cinema that is trying to reconcile how to go on.

“There is certainly a plan and a desire from the studio's perspective and from everybody else involved in the movie to figure out a way to make it
happen.”

The star clarified that there are dates set for an October start to filming, but it’s still a maybe.

Hanks continued: “But all of that stuff is a 'maybe' as questions about quarantine and temperatures and sterilising sound stages and all of that go on.”

It turns out the Elvis movie was literally just about to begin principal photography when they had to shut down.

The actor showed his thumb and index finger almost touching and said: “We were this far away from starting shooting.”

Hanks went on to point out that having tested positive on a Tuesday and isolated on a Wednesday, it was the following Monday that filming was set to
begin.

Back in May, Elvis movie director Baz Luhrmann teased the scene they had been rehearsing.

Speaking with Deadline, he said: “I was four days out from shooting…

“I had built the Vegas showroom, the International which became the Hilton, and you know that famous scene where Elvis is playing that showroom?

“Tom guides in Austin [Butler] as Elvis, and it’s a scene where basically hundreds of girls are kissing Elvis, in a ‘70s show.”

Baz added: “We were rehearsing camera positioning, everything, and I’d done all the tests – Austin, Tom, and the whole cast was on fire.

“We were that close.”

Praising Elvis star Butler, the director said: “During the testing process, his commitment, his transformative abilities from the young Elvis to beyond, he
had been playing so very well.

“He was terrific. There was such great energy and excitement in the cast and company, about the show we were about to shoot.”

According to Warner Bros, the biopic will follow Elvis’s life over 20 years from the fifties to the seventies.

This will include “Presley’s rise to fame to his unprecedented stardom, against the backdrop of the evolving cultural landscape and the loss of
innocence in America.”

And maybe the movie will shoot at the real Graceland? It would certainly make sense to shoot there since Elvis’ house is so well preserved.

The untitled Elvis movie will hit UK cinemas on November 5, 2021.

CHARLIE DANIELS ON 'IT HURTS ME' AND ELVIS
Charlie Daniels was synonymous with country music and Southern rock, yet a decade before scoring his commercial breakthrough as a recording
artist with the 1973 novelty pop hit “Uneasy Rider,” the North Carolina native notched a significant feather in his cap when a swirling pop ballad he co-
wrote called “It Hurts Me” was cut by one Elvis Presley.

Daniels, who died Monday at 83 following a hemorrhagic stroke, rarely performed the song live, but when he did, he would always preface the song by
explaining that Presley’s 1935 birth in Tupelo changed the course of his own life when the King of Rock & Roll recorded his song at Nashville’s RCA
Studio B.

Daniels would also mention that the year was 1963, although it was actually recorded on January 12th, 1964, when Presley held a session that yielded
his version of the song.

Elvis would also go on to re-record the song in June 1968 for inclusion in the 1968 NBC TV Special, 'ELVIS'.

According to the song’s credits, “It Hurts Me” was written by Charles E. Daniels and Joy Byers — but it was actually Byers’ husband, the songwriter
and producer Bob Johnston, who co-wrote the song.

Elvis' beautiful recording of 'It Hurts Me' was released as a 45 RPM Single as the B-Side of 'Kissin Cousin' in February 1964 in the USA, while over
here in the UK, the 45 was released in June 1964.

The 1968 TV Special version of 'It Hurts Me' was eventually released 10 years after being recorded in 1978 on the album 'A Legendary Performer 3'

THE UK'S EXPRESS READERS NAME ELVIS' GREATEST ALBUM
ELVIS PRESLEY made some incredible albums for fans to enjoy - but which is his best after Express.co.uk readers voted?

Express.co.uk gave Elvis fans the chance to choose their favourite of The King’s UK and USA Billboard 200 Number One studio albums.
Needless to say, the results were split and fans gave their views pretty openly.

Here is the result of one of the biggest questions in music – which is Elvis Presley’s best album?

With a whopping 47 percent, 1969’s
'From Elvis in Memphis' (1969) was voted as the best album by Express.co.uk fans.

The album, recorded at the American Sound Studios rather than RCA’s usual studio, was a mega hit at the time of its release, and signalled one of
The King’s big releases before his death in 1977.

Two other albums then take joint third place in the poll, with both revealing very different times in Elvis’ life.

The first is
'Elvis Presley', which was his first album and was released in 1956.

And the album to join with
'Elvis Presley' (1956) in the join third place, was 'Elvis is Back!' (1960) from 1960. This was the first album Elvis released
after his return from military service during which time, his ex-wife Priscilla Presley claims, The King was concerned his popularity would dip. Clearly his
comeback album shows how well loved he was by fans, even after a short time away from them.

After these, the three remaining albums in the poll:
'Elvis' (1956), 'Elvis’ Christmas Album' (1957) and 'Something for Everybody' (1961).

As is often the case with singers, his first album was an eponymous album, named
'Elvis Presley' and released in 1956.

This was quickly followed by
'Elvis' in the same year, before he released a Christmas album in 1957.

Following this meteoric rise to fame, Elvis joined the army to complete his National Service, during which time he recorded some songs in his breaks.

He made a triumphant return with
'Elvis is Back' in 1960, and from then released a large number of albums over the subsequent decade, including
gospel albums such as 1960’s '
His Hand in Mine' and 1967’s 'How Great Thou Art'.

During this decade Elvis also released a number of soundtrack albums, as his movie career saw him regularly singing the theme song, and multiple
other tunes for each role.

He also produced live albums in his later years, as he began huge tours and residencies in Las Vegas.

Many reached Number One in the UK and the USA, with some even achieving Diamond certification, meaning it sold more than 10million copies.

ELVIS' GRANDSON DEAD AT JUST 27
We awoke this morning to the terrible news of the tragic death of Benjamin Keough, the Grandson of Elvis Presley, and son of Lisa Marie Presley at
the young age of just 27.

Presley’s representative Roger Widynowski said in a statement to The Associated Press that she was “heartbroken” after learning about the death of
her son Benjamin Keough. He is the grandson of the late Elvis Presley.

Benjamin Keough, 27, was found by police with a single gunshot wound to the upper torso at around 6.30am on Sunday at his mother's Calabasas
mansion in California. It is not clear whether Benjamin was alone at the house.

“She is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated but trying to stay strong for her 11-year-old twins and her oldest daughter
Riley,” Widynowski said in the statement. “She adored that boy. He was the love of her life.”

A source close to the family has claimed that Benjamin had been 'struggling' for a long time and the death, though shocking, won't have come as a
'huge surprise.'

Benjamin was the younger of the two children Lisa Marie had with her first husband, musician Danny Keough, who she divorced in 1994.The secoond
eldest child is Riley, 31..

In 2015, he shared a picture of an Elvis outfit he had bought, writing on Instagram:
"I purchased a piece of grandad today from a collector. He
wore it in 1974. I feel a lot closer to him now."

In June 2019, Lisa Marie tweeted a photo with her children and the caption "Mama Lion with cubs" (see above).

Benjamin Keough - who many have said bore an uncanny resemblance to his grandfather - had acted and was a musician himself. Ben kept a low
profile and that one of the last times he was seen in public with his family was during a vigil at Graceland for the 40th anniversary of Elvis's death.

Police said they responded to a 'rescue response' call early Sunday, adding: 'Upon their arrival, they located the victim suffering from one gunshot
wound to the upper torso. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.'

An official could be seen outside the mansion Sunday while police and a coroner's vehicle were parked nearby.

A source told The Sun that Benjamin's family was told about his death early on Sunday morning. 'It is shocking news but it also isn't a huge surprise as
he had been struggling. Everyone is heartbroken and devastated,' they said.

Nancy Sinatra tweeted: 'I have known you since before your mama gave birth to you, never dreaming you would have pain like this in your life. I'm so
very sorry.'

And another friend of Benjamin's, Musician DJ Ashba, wrote: 'This cuts me to the bone. Literally in shock. I loved Ben like a brother and always will. Till
we meet again my friend.'

Roy Orbison Jr, said: 'Everybody please pray for Elvis Presley's family. They have had another terrible tragedy today.'

CGI ELVIS APPEARS IN NEW FIAT COMMERCIAL
Elvis has been used in many commercials with his music, most recently 'So Close Yet So Far" for Walkers Crisps, "You're The Boss" for the Uber Co,
"There's Always Me" for Apple phones and many others over the years. The King has also made appearances in some of these TV commercials from
Pizza's, Batteries, C&A, Tennessee Tourist Board with Dolly Parton, BBC Radio 2 along with several others.

Now, Elvis makes his CGI Debut in a new commercial for the new 'Nova Fiat Strada'.

You can see in the images above (click on images to enlarge & open in new screen), Elvis' face has been placed over the face of the actor wearing
the Jumpsuit using CGI and in several scenes, the effect is really cool to see, but there are also other moments when you can see the effect does not
work 100% with Elvis' face becoming a little distorted.

Along with the film we also get Elvis' 1956 recording of 'Blue Suede Shoes' as the soundtrack.

ELVIS CO-STAR IRENE TSU RECALLS BEFRIENDING THE KING
Irene Tsu has worked with some of the most recognizable names in Hollywood -- but none compare to the King.

The actress recently published a memoir titled “A Water Color Dream: The Many Lives of Irene Tsu,” which chronicles her rise in Hollywood while
helping to break barriers for Asian-Americans. In the book, she recalled working alongside several stars, including John Wayne, Doris Day and Jimmy
Stewart, just to name a few.

The now-75-year-old shared the screen with Elvis Presley in 1966’s “Paradise, Hawaiian Style,” an experience she will never forget.

EPE ANNOUNCE PLANS FOR ELVIS WEEK, COVID STYLE
In response to the ongoing coronavirus health crisis, Elvis Presley’s Graceland announced in a press release Thursday July 17th, that they would
“significantly modify” Elvis Week 2020.

Held annually in August, Elvis Week commemorates the legacy of the King of Rock-and-Roll, drawing tourists to Memphis from across the globe.

The week-long celebration culminates with the Candlelight Vigil, on the anniversary of the eve of Presley’s death on August 16, 1977.

“The Candlelight Vigil on August 15 will be more limited than in past years, and will require ADVANCE RESERVATIONS (FREE OF CHARGE), but the
longstanding tradition will carry on with a socially distanced fan procession to the Meditation Garden,” the statement reads.

Other modifications to the Elvis Week itinerary include “eliminating any potential high-risk activity” such as live performances or group parties, and the
introduction of the first-ever
Virtual Elvis Week.

EPE invite everyone around the world to "enjoy the fun and camaraderie of Elvis Week in a closed Facebook group which will feature a mix of past
Elvis Week concerts and panels, new interviews with bandmates, co-stars and friends, new behind-the-scenes Graceland content, a look back at
previous Candlelight Vigils, Elvis tribute artists, and of course a live stream view of our 2020 Candlelight Vigil (the live stream will also be available, as
always, on Graceland.com, free of charge). From those who have never been, to those who come every year: here is your chance to celebrate Elvis
and your shared fanship together. Tickets for Virtual Elvis Week are
$39.00 and will be available to purchase soon!"

NEW DVD FROM STAR FEATURES ELVIS LIVE IN 1976
STAR has managed to get their hands on some incredible footage UNRELEASED worldwide in this quality!!

Other video releases containing amateur footage, usually are out of synch, to slow or fast and very VERY bad edits.

After "the good old days" when we had lots of TTWII and On Tour outtakes we did not get anything new for a long time...

This will change now!

STAR delivers an almost complete show from 1976 with a running time of 56 minutes, including 17 COMPLETE performances.
No skips and bumps so you can enjoy the man as you should!

Most of the footage with MATCHING audio has been taken from March 17, 1976 during his performance in Johnson City, backed up with "help" from
other shows from the same tour.

This "Opening Night" show for 1976 shows Elvis in a very good mood and shape, lots of interaction is going on with the audience, and you are with
them during this great show!

Due to the fact that not everything has been filmed, clever edits are used to keep the show going without annoying breaks and even some extra songs
were used to make it work even better.

A great result of this has to be the March 22 version (St. Louis) of
"Let Me Be There" which has some amazing close ups!

But there's more!

We get the very first live version of
"Hurt' a rocking "Polk Salad Annie" and "Burning Love" and a rare live version of the title track "And I Love
You So"
where Elvis stops for a while since he doesn't approve the bands performance. You constantly feel the energy from Elvis working with his
new band and the Crowd.

Next to the complete songs we also get all the band solos, hear Larry Londin for the first time during an Elvis show, see James Burton making an
encore by Elvis' request, enjoy the Joe Guercio Orchestra doing a fine "Hail Hail Rock and Roll" . Yes it is all there and you can enjoy it soon!

As a bonus some rare tracks from the CBS tapes are included.

STRICTLY LIMITED TO 500 COPIES.

A WHOLE LOTTA POWER GOING ON
Deluxe Digipack factory pressed release.
Over 2.5 hours of incredible cuts!

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Elvis June/September recordings in Nashville, where other labels only re-re (re) release the same over and
over CMT continues their "Power" series with this third instalment, after last year's "Ghetto Power" and the first release "Stax Power" this release had
to be done and might be the best one yet!

Again the editing on this album makes all songs "blend in" so you will get the feeling as if you are in the actual session, with lots of rare snippets and
surprises.

All tracks from the "Nashville 1970 Sessions" have been included in this 2 cd set, with clever spliced takes for a whole new experience.

Lots of works went into this and a lot of the tracks sound so different, you almost think it is all brand new!
Because the producers wanted something really new, and wanted to start rocking from scratch! They decided not to give you a chronicle order
tracklist like the previous volumes.

Just listen to the incredible new spliced version of "Patch It Up" (10!! Splices) extended versions of "There Goes My Everything" and "Bridge Over
Troubled Water" and clever edits of Undubbed tracks with final masters like "Little Cabin on the Hill" and "Heart of Rome"

1970 has to be one of the best years for Elvis... you can hear it... you can SEE it, although we do agree with the "Never judge a book (cd or dvd) by

A TRUE PIECE OF MUSIC HISTORY IS COMING TO AUCTION
One of Elvis Presley's most famous guitars is hitting the auction block ... and acquiring it may require a king's ransom.

Elvis' historic 1942 Martin D-18 guitar -- which The King owned and used during his history making 'SUN Records' days [between 1954 and 1956] --
will be up for auction over at Gotta Have Rock and Roll, and no doubt it'll go to a serious collector with huuuuge pockets. The minimum bid starts at a
whopping $1.2 million. It's expected to fetch up to THREE MILLION BUCKS.

The investment's totally worth it ... because the instrument oozes musical history. For starters, the guitar is often referred to as Elvis' "Sun Sessions"
guitar. Elvis recorded at the iconic Sun Studios in Memphis and also performed with the guitar on stage, including the legendary 'Louisiana Hayride'.

The King of Rock 'n' Roll bought the guitar at O.K. Houck's Piano Store in Memphis, trading in his Martin 000-18 model. He then went on to decorate
the body of the guitar with adhesive metal letters spelling out "ELVIS." Today, the guitar's missing the "S." The extensive wear visible on the guitar, no
doubt, is due to Elvis' hard strumming and the guitar's frequent use.

And, get this ... during the time Elvis owned the guitar, he also recorded these history making recordings; "That's Alright (Mama)," "Blue Moon of
Kentucky," "Good Rockin' Tonight," "Milkcow Blues Boogie," "Baby Lets Play House" and "Mystery Train" to name a few.

The new owner of this guitar will get TONS of paperwork proving the authenticity, from a photocopy of the receipt from O.K. Houck Piano and
photocopies of correspondence from the curator of the Country Music Hall of Fame to a historical note about the guitar which has been reported to be
Elvis' first guitar. The
auction opens on July 22. Good luck!!!

ANN MARGRET: "HOW I KNEW THE KING HAD DIED"
She's the Woman that many say Elvis should have married? Elvis was close to his former co-star Ann-Margret, in a relationship neither of them spoke
openly about - but the actress explained her heartbreaking revelation about the King's death.

Ann-Margret is an actress whose career has lasted decades. Some of her big breaks came when she was very young, and soon she was starring
opposite one of the most famous men in showbusiness: Elvis Presley. Ann-Margret is very private and has shared little about their relationship, but in
an interview with Charlie Rose, she revealed the devastating way she knew The King had died.

Speaking to US broadcaster Charlie Rose in November 1994, Ann opened up a small amount about her relationship with The King.

Charlie, a fan of the singer himself, revealed in the interview how Ann knew Elvis had died.

He said: “He sent flowers and you knew he was dead when the flowers didn’t arrive – he’d send you flowers whenever you had a new engagement in
the shape of a guitar?”

Ann, clearly becoming choked up at the memory, quietly replied: “It was unreal. It was just unreal… because I’m [a] real private, and he was too.”

While she didn’t want to reveal too much about Elvis’ demise, she was happy to “cherish his memory” by speaking about the good times with him.

She said: “He was extremely special; he was very strong.

“Our relationship was very strong and very serious and very real.

“We were together for one year. And he trusted me and I do not want to betray his trust even in death.
.
“I knew him very, very well. There’s been so much written which has been negative – I want to celebrate his life, the man that I knew.”

She shared how she wanted him to know how well-loved he was and spoke of her frustration at how many spoke of his genius after his death rather
than during his lifetime.

She continued: “He was so gifted and it makes me extremely angry that all of a sudden all these people who made fun of him right near his death, all
of a sudden, posthumously, right after he passed on, where writing reams and reams of stories on him how gifted he was.

“Why didn’t they do that when he was alive?”

She also spoke of how “considerate” he was, even to the extent of getting Ann to go to her neighbour’s house to wish her a happy birthday.

Ann added: “He was just so sensitive and considerate. He knew about honour and respecting your elders and manners and being civilised.

“He loved his family. Loved his parents, and he loved his little daughter so much.”

Ann and Elvis’ relationship took place after they met on the set of Viva Las Vegas, which was filmed during the summer of 1963.

At this time, Elvis had been courting a young Priscilla Beaulieu, whom he had brought from Germany after serving in the US Army, and had her living
at Graceland.
