The King's ex-wife discusses taking his music "into the future."

It's been 38 years since Elvis Presley's death, but the King's music is taking on a new life with "If I Can Dream," a new album that combines his legendary work with the sounds of the
Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. It's a project that is important to his ex-wife Priscilla Presley, and she dropped by HuffPost Live on Monday to explain how she determined the best
way to keep his legacy alive.

Presley told The Guardian last week that she still feels the presence of Elvis's spirt in her life, and she told HuffPost Live's Alex Miranda that she channels her former husband's
point of view when she makes business decisions.

"I feel like I'm being guided ... because I knew him so well," Presley said. "I knew the things he wouldn't do. I knew the things he loved. I knew the artists that he liked. I knew the
music that he liked."

Presley said it's her mission to take Elvis "into the future," and this latest album is a "stepping stone" to more opportunities to introduce his music to new generations. But she added
that Elvis's personality and his identity as an artist is with her every step of the way.

"There are a lot of things presented to us at Elvis Presley Enterprises, and to myself -- you know, people who want to do duets or people who are out there that want to somehow
do something with Elvis," she said. "And a lot of thought [goes into it] because it really has to be his DNA there. It really needs to be something that he would do, something that he
would be proud of, and that's really what I'm guided by -- knowing him so well."
