Pop culture icons take on starring roles in modern ads for playful picture series which sees Audrey Hepburn marketing breakfast at McDonald's while Elvis Presley models Beats

DesignCrowd, a crowd-sourcing marketplace for freelance designers, asked its 475,000 users from across the globe to Photoshop the world's 'most famous and missed pop culture
icons' into modern advertisements and campaigns as a part of its recent contest. Audrey Hepburn having breakfast at McDonald's and Marilyn Monroe using her star power to
market Louis Vuitton handbags are just two of the playful campaigns from a unique photo project that reimagines beloved pop culture icons from previous eras as stars of today's

The winning design was created by Joel Krebs, a 29-year-old graphic designer from Salem, Oregon, who used his photo editing skills to imagine Elvis Presley modeling a pair of red
Beats by Dre headphones. Other entries using the image of Elvis Presley show  advertise for H&M, jeans and kitchen appliances.

In the mock ad, Elvis has his hands photos as he looks at the camera, presumably listening to music on the over-sized headphones. The design also features the trademark Beats
symbol and the words 'The King'.

And Joel wasn't the only designer inspired by the King of Rock and Roll. Another participant pictured Elvis selling NutriBullet blenders, having the singer posed next to the popular
kitchen tool. 'Oh hey baby, why don't you try your fruit and beg... all shook up,' reads the clever ad.
