MEMPHIS -- All shook up about the king of rock 'n' roll? Elvis Week 2015, Aug. 8-16, has more than 25 events planned. A few highlights include:
• Hound Dog Tour: a Musical City Tour Celebrating Elvis.
1 p.m. Aug. 9. Tour departs from Backbeat Tours window at BB King's Blues Club, 143 Beale St. Tour includes the Presley family apartment at Lauderdale Courts, Sun Records

• The ninth Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest
Not really a highlight, but if you get fed up of watching or listening to ELVIS, there's a bunch of poor imitations ready to warble and wiggle away dressed in their jumpsuits.
• The release of Elvis Presley's Forever Stamp
This will be celebrated at 8 a.m. Aug. 12 on Graceland's north lawn. Priscilla Presley will join U.S. Postal Service Postmaster General Megan J. Brennan for the First Day of Issue
• An auction of rare Presley artifacts
will be held Aug. 13 at Graceland. The auction is open to registered bidders and all the items included are from third-party collectors, not from the Graceland Archives.

• Singer-songwriter Mac Davis
will appear at The Official Graceland Insiders Conference at 11 a.m. Aug. 14 at the Elvis Week Main Stage. Davis wrote the Presley hits
"In the Ghetto," "Memories" and "A Little Less Conversation."
• The Candlelight Vigil
begins at 8:30 p.m. Aug. 15 at Graceland's front gate. Music sets the tone of the evening as fans walk up the driveway to the Meditation Garden. This free
event lasts throughout the night as participants gather on Elvis Presley Boulevard to listen to music and view memorials created by fans along the street.
• Conversations on Elvis
will take place at the Main Stage at 10 a.m. Aug. 15, and will explore various aspects of the king of rock 'n' roll's life and career. Guests include singer
Brenda Lee, former Shelby County Sheriff Bill Morris -- a close friend of Presley's -- and drummer Hal Blaine, a member of the legendary Wrecking Crew, who performed on a
number of Elvis' hits.
• The Elvis in Vegas Tribute Concert
featuring Terry Mike Jeffrey, 8 p.m. Aug. 14, Main Stage. The night will salute Elvis' career in Las Vegas through music, photos and video.
• New this year, Elvis 101,
at 10 a.m. Aug. 13 on the main stage, will explore Elvis' influence on music and pop culture. Hear from scholars, authors and those who have spent hundreds of hours studying
• An Elvis Week 2015 app
