King Of Rock and Roll sounds as good today as the first time the world knew about him.
Then an everlasting legend was born.

John Lennon said some time ago: "Before Elvis there was nothing". Well, maybe this is kind of
extreme for any Frank Sinatra, Chuck Berry or Ella Fitzgerald's fan. But Mister Lennon was
talking about Rock and Roll music and when you consider the source, you realise
Elvis Presley
is the greatest solo legend of all time
.

He left this world in August 16, 1977 and music hasn't been the same since then. Elvis' legacy
goes from his multi-million selling catalogue (over 600 million records sold) to the way he truly
revolutionised on-stage performances. Before him everything in music scene was quite smooth,
tender and safe.

After Elvis music and sex seemed meant to be as one. But not everything about him was those
erotic, unmatched pelvic movements. Elvis Presley was the owner of a wonderful, amazing, manly
voice able to place dozens of number one singles in USA and England.

He sang about romantic adventures and escapades, always with a perfect style and precision
that led him to superstardom.

Often imitated but never duplicated he had his mistakes of course, both on and off stage.
Those boring movies he made are nothing compared to the disastrous outcome of years of
addiction and depression. And, as the greatest legends do, he died pretty young at the age of 42.

This August 16th will be his 34th mournful anniversary and he's still very much
remembered by his millions of fans around the world. The Rock and Roll scene misses
him and after all this time, there's still no match for Elvis Presley
.

Long Live The King! And yes, he's always on our minds...
